Starting up: OK. Menu: OK. Playing: game doesn't respond at all to the prompted 'Continue' key.
Works as well as on Windows. Too bad by now the community online is non-existent, but still a pretty good game
Tried the command others suggested. DO=(%command%); "${DO[@]/%eg2.exe/../bin/evilgenius_vulkan.exe}" Doesn't work
Borked since the latest launcher update
I updated the launcher last week (it still worked fine at that point) as per the launcher itself was necessary, but ever since that update the launcher automatically closes down whenever I launch it from Steam. The game itself further on will probably still be fine, but the launcher? Yeah, no dice. At all. Bug report on Paradox Plaza has been fully ignored so far too.
Doesn't install. Tried to do the other tricks mentioned by others, but not getting those really working either
Tutorial could be played, but NW's memory leak borked the game after
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% and various others
I've tried several solutions others have mentioned here. I started a new character yesterday because I thought my old character from shortly after launch might've been corrupted. Returned today, but nope, even that new character couldn't be loaded anymore due to the game crashing.
Installed the game, it procedes with building up the Vulkan profile... And then a big whopping nothing.
As long as you like the game and don't forget to install the MESA-drivers, it'll work fine
Severe slowdown after tabbing back in, recovers after a while
Mouse has a low chance to go ' double' after tabbing
Habit to 'double the mouse' at times when alt-tabbing
Some keys randomly sometimes don't respond in game. A reload generally fixes this though
Saves previously made in Windows crash the game
Sure, you can play... As long as you like the default keybinds, settings etc
The settings program is utterly unable to be run natively in Linux. For some idiotic reason you can't access it through the launcher (where the hell is that thing?), and when going straight to the file itself it's perplexing to find out that even forcing an WINE upon it... just doesn't work. Like what the hell?
Launched so far only once out of 9 attempts in the correct way - otherwise black screen
Doesn't seem to be an issue with Proton Expirerimental, but instead Konami just not being able to program correctly - or it has an highly aggressive unmentioned fucked-up DRM which interferes with Proton. Verified files and reset the install script - didn't help. Running on Ubuntu LTS. Tried other compability layers including the latest GE, but it remains broken
