the game crashes with the error "unable to launch the game, please reinstall the game".
The rockstar launcher starts to open then the launcher doesnt works anymore, I tried different drives and filesystems (ntfs and btrfs), reinstalling rockstar launcher with protontricks, and different proton but neither of them works. This error also happens to me with rdr2
Runs nearly flawlessly. Only occassionally crashes. Launch options for a hybrid-NVIDIA graphics card laptop

Con proton 9.0.1 y 9.0.2 no he tenido ningun problema.
He jugado sin problemas con dualsense y con proton v9 va sin problemas. Me lo he pasado con todos los logros en Kubuntu.

I always get an error sayin L.A. Noire has exited unexpectedly. not getting any solution please help

Just some minor issues with Rockstars launcher that caused the game to not start properly for the first time playing after install
Only issue I have noticed is with the Rockstar launcher when first starting up the game immediately after install it took longer than usual for the game to start and it crashed but so far hasn't happened since.

Runs perfect with default settings apart from not being able to go fullscreen
Nothing would allow me to go fullscreen with the game. It seems other Pop_OS users have had this same problem. Seems more likely that it is an issue with Gnome.
After trying different Proton versions, I tried different launch options. The only thing that would allow full screen for me was PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1. Using that setting caused huge performance issues and made the game unplayable.

Occasionally when coming out of standby, the voice acting goes extremely fast and out of sync with the animation.
On the OLED Deck, set the TDP to 7 or 8 watts for the same performance with less power use. For the LCD Deck, 9 or 10 watts.

minor lags, drops to 50 fps
works fine, download .dll library from the link and write lauch option to get 60 fps

Played the whole game on deck, good experience overall. There were some texture artifacts but they were barely noticable.
There was a Social Club update where the screen didn't display properly
Slight texture/shader artifacts, especially on white surfaces like the notebook
Social Club had an update with a TOS change and the screen only displayed a fraction of the window with gigantic black bars. I had to tap around the screen until the fraction displayed where I could press accept to continue.
Sits at "Connecting to Rockstar Games Services" for a while before returning to Steam.

Runs perfectly so far. Have changed the Trackpad to mouse for personal habit.

Originally wouldn't run when I bought it when I used to use Windows in early '19. Didn't run on Linux a year after. Seems to be fine now.

Ran 2660x1440 on 3440x1440 (showed up much smaller in a window) and "forced" fullscreen on i3wm. Kind of grainy, but nothing game changing
Windowed was less than resolution stated, but went full screen without issues. Using i3wm, I don't alt-tab, but I could swap to other "desktops" while in pause screen
I tried a number of the launch options posted here (I think four before I got this one right), but this one works just fine.

Rockstar Games Launcher reports crashes with default settings

Tried everything from previous reports
Games borked unfortunately, it appears since a lot of the former reports were made, they increased LA Noire's dependency on the Rockstar Games Laucher.

game locked to 30fps -> bring tdp down
i always forget l.a. noire doesnt have cloud saves

Works perfect on Steam Deck. It's realy nice and controls feel right at home.

Weird lighting bugs sometimes, nothing serious or effecting gameplay
I played with Proton Experimental and Proton GE and Proton GE seems to give a little bit of a better experience but default Proton works just as fine

game would not go to full screen

Using regular Proton caused a broken main menu on my system, so I couldn't start the game. With GE it runs without issues.

Playable. Game does not seem to be compatible with my 3440x1440 resolution. It seems it is also locked @60 FPS. Dualsense works fine. I am using Wayland
Install V-Patch to unlock 60 fps for game and also use gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 60 -o 60 -f to have smoother 60 hz.

My previous note that defined this game as borked was wrong, because at the time, I had an NVIDIA GTX 1080 TI card and had, on ArchLinux, lib32-amdvlk installed, which was wrong. After uninstalling that lib, everything worked perfectly.

Game does not launch at all. Crashes on Rockstar Games Launcher. Tried everything previously mentioned.
For some reason, does not work in my system at all.

Maxed out graphics settings. ##Resolution settings 1920x1080 - Docked 1280x720 - Undocked
Not a bad port but would love native 60 FPS support. It's possible to get 60 FPS with a DLL tweak, but the physics for driving can get wonky. Instead, I preferred having a stable 30 FPS with maxed settings, and the ability to flip between resolutions between 1080p and 720p for docked/undocked.
Steam Deck settings: Pin GPU to 1000 mHz. PowerTools settings: Disable SMT
Not really a tinker, since I run just about every game that needs Proton with experimental. Runs without any issues. 1080p 30fps. Haven't tried the 60fps hack, but it really doesn't need it.
Runs at 30fps by default and I couldn't get the framerate unlocker working. That being said, to play the game as intended (30fps) works
touchscreen and onscreen keyboard got me through rockstar's launcher fine
Fps was stable 30 on minimum graphics settings and at 1280x720 resolution Tried to run on Proton GE also on the latest Proton 7.5
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Fps dropped below 30 in some places
On the experimental proton, the same low fps Every time I log in the graphics settings are reset if I run the game from the internet. Had to manually change the settings.ini file every time I started the game with the internet on. No way to go into Rockstar Launcher to change game settings

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
Used V-patch & launch options to enable 60FPS @ 1080p
Game was still unplayable due to FPS drops on normal proton and GE-Proton7-18. Finally was resolved when latest GE-Proton7-39 was installed & selected. Pretty smooth 60FPS now.

Set the game to medium settings with FXAA at 2x,
Rockstar launcher installation process is very slow. It would look like its stuck but it isn't, you need to give it time. The second time i've open the game rockstar launcher got installed again.
Minor stuterring, its worse if you lower the TDP so i've left unlocked
Set the graphical settings to medium with FXAA 2x, this game can be totally playable at max settings but it will use more battery. On medium it uses about 12W. You can gain about 1W by playing everything on low but some graphics dont look awesome even on the deck screen. This game plays at 30 FPS so i've set the refresh rate to 40 Hz to save more battery.
DXVK_ASYNC=1
Works well out of the box, rockstar launcher unnecessarily slows down launching the game.
Changing game settings in the rockstar launcher did nothing, I had to change them in game.
Works well out of the box, rockstar launcher = bad

Followed the steps of Modifying the INI so that the game thinks it is running on DX11, as well as protontricks 110800 d3dx9_43 d3dcompiler_43 d3dx11_43 d3dcompiler_47.
Also installed V-Patch https://github.com/VaanaCZ/LANVP
But only worked after setting the custom launch option
Used Protontricks to install dinput8.dll to unlock framerate for smooth 60FPS gameplay. Also allowed the game to run in the 1280x800 res, otherwise it would not go past 720p in my testing. However upon installing dinput8.dll the game forced 800p. Game also ran at DX11 and not DX9 when installing it.
Further information about dinput8.dll can be found here, I recomend giving it a shot, the deck can run this game at 60 perfectly. https://github.com/VaanaCZ/LANVP
Sometimes the Rockstar social club stopped me from playing, something about being signed out. Issue appears to have just gone away.
Game for some reason hates the trackpads, make sure you don't fiddle with the controller settings in options or you'll lose all input, trackpads are unresponsive.
Videos would not play at first, I had to install with the proton version that valve picked, then switch to GE, then back to the valve picked proton version, this, somehow, made the videos play.
If you are down to put in the extra effort to get GE installed and configured, and play around with the settings it's pretty enjoyable.
Rockstar Games Launcher needs to be installed and will require a mouse/touchscreen, once completed it's no longer an issue
Some missions will freeze/drop to 9-12 FPS, Usually runs locked 30FPS otherwise
Without GE the game will launch but menus be blacked out/tiny/shadows not rendering correctly
