tela cheia cai muito o fps
o jogo fecha sozinho fora do Proton Experimental

The game is about everythong dealing with a ball 1 vs. 1 but not a collective tactical football.
The game is unrealistic in terms of football meaning, football games are played in a collective manner and not 1 vs. 1. Shooting is the most unrealistic thing, where players are considered in deadly view angles, they can still have very high accuracy in shooting. Defending is horrible, for example marking is very bad, a player can be free easily after two passes. Playing against AI is the most unrealistic football thing I have ever experienced, if the AI's players shoot it is 99.99% goal, no matter situation or player. Playing against online users is much more better, but the difference between the epic and standard players will make a difference. You need to purchase coins to open epic players cards to be able to compete for higher division (3 or above). The football team consists of 11 players with 12 sibstitutes and one trainer. To get 23 epic players to compete, you need to open 23 players cards, each cost 100 coin. But to get only one card, you need to draw it between 150 other cards containing maximum 10 epic cards. Thus, the probability yo get an epic card = 15/150=10%. If we consider a %50 %50 luck, you need 500 coins, that is arround $10. I personally knew a guy who purchases 12000 coins with costs $100 and he got only 1 epic player. Therefore, you will find yourself spending too much money to build a complete team, which is not the main idea of football. Football is about team work, individual capabilities, and most importantly tactics. Personally I do not recommend playing the game unless you have a budget to build a team, or you are patient for months to collect enough coins for free. The money spent on this might be used to play other more realistic games.

I am using Hyprland (wayland) as my window manager and there aren't any fullscreen etc. issues. Game works successfully with Proton Exp.
If not works, try with Proton Experimental
gamemoderun %command%

just turned off steam input
start the game from big picture mode
on fedora works much better than win 11 pro

The black screen error in Efootball happens when you start it in full screen, to resolve it, simply put it in borderless window mode (full screen window).
O erro de tela preta no Efootball acontece quando você coloca para iniciar em tela cheia, para resolver, basta colocoar em modo janela sem bordas (janela tela cheia).
Works fine

NEED to disable steam overlay to bypass black screen only error

Works Great
Disabling steam overlay fixes launch problems
Funciona sem nenhum ajuste no Opensuse Tumbleweed.

gamemoderun gamescope -e -W 3840 -H 2160 -f -- %command%
Works fine with the launch options or in big picture mode. without them its just a black screen

Só funciona com a Steam no modo Big Picture
O jogo funciona bem, sem nenhum erro e com uma jogabilidade satisfátoria, o único problema é que ele só abre no modo Big Picture, independente da versão do Proton que eu utilize

Black Screen
just loads a black screen fps counter is showing and working but noting on the screen no matter how long i wait
Just put Steam in Big Picture Mode, then start the game. It works only that way for me, but it's not a problem: after that the games works the same as Windows.

Everything works in the game, sometimes you will face crashes in the home menu, but never in the game.
Just disable Steam Overlay and everything will work.
The first time the game launched but was black screen, had to remove the checkbox in the properties of the game responsible for overlay game
Can play but on big picture mode only. nonetheless its quite good
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ucrtbase.dll=n,b" %command%

gamemoderun gamescope -e -W 3840 -H 2160 -f -- %command%
The game does seem to crash quite often, but every single time it crashed for me was when I was doing something on the main menu. I've so far yet to face a crash during an actual match.
Apart from the quite frequent crashes when in the main menu, the game itself works quite well. Online matches also work without issues.

Unable to play
The configuration window appears, but when you try to start the game, you get a black screen

Anti Cheat Denuvo ruined the game for good
This game will never work again. I was able to play it when it first launched, but not anymore. It starts initially then crashes when I get to the main menu. Launching it again takes me to a permanent black screen. I have windows installed on a separate hard drive. Installed the game on windows and was asked to accept "Denuvo anti-cheat installer", so my guess this is what has ruined it for us forever on linux ,,!,,

Starts then quits then never gets out of a black screen after second launch
I was able to play this game just fine when it first came out, but not anymore. Now, it launches initially, you go through the painful "live updates" garbage, then right when it gets to the main menu, it crashes. Launch it again and you are in a permanent black screen. It looks like a DRM issue or something. I hate game makers, they all suck.

Launched so far only once out of 9 attempts in the correct way - otherwise black screen
Doesn't seem to be an issue with Proton Expirerimental, but instead Konami just not being able to program correctly - or it has an highly aggressive unmentioned fucked-up DRM which interferes with Proton. Verified files and reset the install script - didn't help. Running on Ubuntu LTS. Tried other compability layers including the latest GE, but it remains broken

gamemoderun gamescope -w 1280 -h 720 -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -F fsr -- %command%
You need gamescope for it to run smoothly and you can use upscaling

It works well now but many proton versions didn't work for me.

gamemoderun %command%
With only 8 Gb of RAM the sound stutters when there are transitioning scenes
I've added a command line option to Proton Experimental because after the first start of the game I experienced a black screen when trying to start the game again.
Game only works if started from big picture mode Otherwise, just a black screen

In order to set the game as fullscreen or change the resolution once installed need to run
WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/1665460/pfx ~/.steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ -\ Experimental/files/bin/wine ~/.steam/steamapps/common/eFootball/Settings.exe
Adapt the proton's wine
path according to your setup.
In order to switch to windowed / fullscreen mode, some manual operation is required. As settings can't be lunched from steam.

Turned off steam overlay

I get a completely blank black screen when I fire up the game. No sound, no cursor. I have to quit with Alt+F4.
Previous versions used to work. It doesn't work any more.

Definitely not a gold standard. Since 2023.12.04 the game crashes instantly after the load.
gamemoderun %command%
Crashes in the main menu of the "eFootball World" tab whenever an active banner includes video.
Up until 2023.12.04 the first banner entry, activated on startup, did not cause troubles so until the banner got changed to the one including video one had time to start the match.
Since 2023.12.04 the active banner includes video so the game crashes almost instantly before it is possible to pick any option.
Since 2023.12.04 the active banner in the "eFootball World" section includes video so the game crashes almost instantly before it is possible to pick any option.

gamemoderun %command%
had to turn off in game overlay and notifications all together. Otherwise black screen.

Use Big Picture Mode

Just disable any overlays
I just disabled the Steam Overlay and it run perfectly. No need for Big Picture mode.
Stuck on black scren after launch. Changing to Big Picture Mode allows game to play with no issues.

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ucrtbase.dll=n,b" %command%
I don't know why, but while I was getting a black screen in the Steam normal client, there was no error left when using the big piture mod. When I open it with the normal client, the error persists, but when I use big picture mode, there is no error.
