Some weird positioning and mouse issues, but were mostly fixed by either ult-tabbing or using keyboard to jump into setting and switching it between windowed and full screen.
Could not both host the game and run the client, there would be some weird slowdowns moving between map areas, locking up my client. Was perfectly smooth when game world was hosted on a different Windows PC and I connected via Linux game client.

My default graphic drivers had large square pixulated effects on metalic surfaces in dark places. Resolved on Nixos with hardware.graphics.extraPackages = [ pkgs.amdvlk ];
in my system config and then launching the game in steam with VK_ICD_FILENAMES="/run/opengl-driver/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64.json" %command%
"DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument. ID: flummut"
Also tried with option "-dx11" but recived an error "Unable to launch with RHI 'DirectX 11' since the project is not configured to support it."
Would have to mess around with Wine and/or Lutris... but with so many other games that I can play, I might just return.

Just before the TOS window pops up, the game will crash to desktop. To get past the TOS window and create a character, I had to downgrade to Proton 7.0-6
. From there, was able to get past the first cut scene, quit the game, swap to Proton Experimental
and complete the rest of the tutorial.
Have not yet tested multiplayer.
Also used launch option recommended by another review. I haven't tested if this is really necessary yet.
Game looks good and runs smooth enough.
