Works out of the box, no changes needed
Basically no changes needed. Performance is on par with Windows (slightly better than Windows surprisingly), but very slighty within margin of error. Altough in Hinterberg performs degradates too much compared to Windows (about 20%), going from Proton 9.0-2 to Experimental fixes Hinterberg performance, altough not needed for me since 9.0-2 still delivers 60 FPS in Hinterberg.
Just run with everything stock. Played half of the game on Windows 10 and now the rest on Linux Mint 21.3 Everything is rock solid
Stability was 100% fine. Didn't noticed any graphics degradation. As for performance compared to windows, the loss was about 5-8%. 0 Stutters
Tried to update drivers to 545 and kernel to 6.5 as well as running in Feral Game Mode, improvements were withing margin of error.
Anyway, fully recommended, it's great, I've moved from Windows to Linux while playing this game and can't notice any issue here in Linux
Until this is fixed I don't see a reason for anyone to play it.
Red and green lines everywhere (started a save a little bit more forward in the train)
Proton 9.0-2 was having some grass flickering Proton experimental fixed it entirely.
Haven't discovered more issues so far, everything just works as expected, performance degradation compared to windows it's not big, but who cares, it runs at 300 fps or more at some points.
Works out of the box without any tinkering
In my previous report 5 days ago, the game had some graphical issues with the native launch which made recomment using proton experimental for solving the issues.
Probably due to an update, the game no longer have issues in it's native version, which means Proton is not required to play the game flawless anymore.
The difference in performance is around 5 to 25% compared to Windows even in it's native version, but I mean, we are having >300 FPS with a GTX 1650 Super, so who cares right?
Just crashes on startup, shows up Unity error dialog.
Just crashes on startup. Tried with Proton 9.0-2 and Proton Experimental. Doesn't work for me.
Works great OOTB, but runs much slower than Windows
Basically as the title says, with Proton 9.0-4 there is still a huge difference in performance. For exampl on Windows it just stays locked at 120 FPS in certain scenes with 50% GPU Usage. On Linux it's 80-90% for the same framerate and in many scenes it just drops to 90 or 80 FPS. Fortunaly my target is 60 FPS and for that same reason it's not an issue, but for people with worse hardware it can be a bigger issue.
