Unplayable on XUbuntu, any Proton version.
Constant frame stuttering. Possibly screen tearing
I tried many things to try to fix the issue I was having. Other than the frames stuttering there didn't seem to be issues. Although I figured out the cause of the issues was the OS I was using.
I switched to PopOS and have had no issues.
Same usual sort of lag you would get on Windows
My Steam compatibility is on Proton 8, 0 issues launching the game or playing it. Felt a bit better at times than when I've played on Windows. I am honestly just glad I can finally play this game on Linux.
Only experience issues if compatibility is set to something other than experimental. Or Proton EAC is downloaded from Steam Tools
As long as I don't touch the compatibility version the game runs flawlessly. I have played for several hours, with friends and haven't had any issues. Sometimes I do get a EAC error pop-up, but I just click ok and return to game without much issue. That doesn't happen often.
Played great.
As previously stated, I had to rename the StrangeBigade_Vulkan.exe to StrangeBrigade.exe in order to skip over the black splash screen. Once I did that the game opened, and played perfectly. No hiccups.
