For my PC i had to install the game on my /home partition and i had to install Proton EAC runtime on the same drive, when installing any of those (or both) on an external drive the game game an error and didnt even let me go into main menu giving me the following error: "EAC client cannot be instantiated".
Also after u have both the game and the EAC proton runtime, you need to go to the game's directory and copy the "EasyAntiCheat" folder from .../steamapps/common/Dead By Daylight to .../steamapps/common/Dead By Daylight/DeadByDaylight/Binaries/Win64/
Launch the game, game closes cuz we dont have "vcrun2022", open terminal, "protontricks --gui" select payday 3, after that install a windows Dll or component, scroll down to "vcrun2022" and click the checkmark, let it install and launch the gam, it should run
I played with 3 friends (all on windows), one of them has the same pc as mine and my game was running better then his
Game ran without any problems
When initially launching the game the resolution was wierd (920x1080), fixable trugh the ingame setting to 1920x1080 or whatever your native screen supports
It works perfectly
Game lag spiked a bit, Disabling VSync and uncapping FPS fixed it
