It works flawlessly, with no configuration at all.
The game runs a little slow compared to graphically comparable games (Subnautica, Satisfactory, Elite: Dangerous) on my machine.
The game crashed once during my first play session, but never again.
When I first got the Aeron Protocol ship, it didn't replace the old launch thrusters, and I was unable to swap them for the new ones. When attempting to launch, it said I needed 500% launch fuel to launch. Restarting the game fixed it.
When using the dedicated media control keys on my keyboard, the game would uncapture the mouse, allowing it to wander over to my second monitor if I turn left enough, at which point clicking loses focus.

The click offset is just too big to get used to, it makes it kinda unusable
As a previous user mentioned, the cursor input is offset by the height of the titlebar
Overall, the occassional crash is annoying but rare enough to not be a deal breaker. I've had worse experiences on consoles before.
Occassionally, with Nvidia HairWorks enabled, Geralts hair will flop around in a hilariously unrealistic manner for a few seconds before correcting itself. I have no way to confirm if this also happens on Windows.
Every once in a while, when starting a cutscene or opening any menu, the game window/monitor freezes. Audio continues playing, but the game does not respond to input at all and needs to be terminated with SIGINT/SIGKILL/similar.Additionally, the game's CPU usage drops to 0%. This has been rare enough that most of my 6+ hour sessions had it happen only once, but it has happened as soon as 20 minutes into playing. It is however rather frustrating, as it typically results in losing progress.
