Multiplayer does not work, as the devs have not enabled Linux support in the EAC config. This is a primarily multiplayer game.
Performance seems to degrade with VSYNC on. Unclear if this is an ESO issue or a Proton issue, as there are conflicting reports out there.
The game runs fine ONLY IF you close the launcher in the background, as others have commented. If you don't do this, your framerate will be awful regardless of system specs. Closing the launcher has no other ill effect.
Other than the launcher issue, literally zero other issues, and the game runs as well as it does in Windows, if not better. DLSS is confirmed to work flawlessly as well.
On Day 79 during "the event", the first battle will NOT load (the loading screen freezes forever). I've tried literally everything (different Proton versions, gamescope, Lutris, verifying/reinstalling, etc), and the only thing that fixed this was... porting my save to a Windows PC and running it there. I have a feeling this is an AMD driver on Linux issue, but I really have no way of testing this further. YMMV.
