Just used the setting provided in previous messages WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
As per below runs fine needs a minor tweak
You HAVE to change Browser from 2 to 1 (in the file FFXIV_BOOT.cfg) and CutsceneMovieOpening from 0 to 1 (in the file FFXIV.cfg).
FFXIV-BOOT.cfg is generated after your first launch in
/home//.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/39210/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn/
and FFXIV.cfg is generated after an attempt to launch the game in the same place.
Some very minor crackling on the audio, there are some suggestions for fixing it but i haven't had the chance to try yet.
Loading times appear to be slightly longer but this is likely due to my Windows install running on an SSD while Linux currently runs on a pretty old HDD
There is a slight glitch in the launcher as well always use the enter key when logging on don't use the mouse for some reason clicking the login button causes an error (likely due to the old launcher)
