Can't wait to play it, but it is unfortunately stuck.
Game installs, and gets to a window telling me it is about to install Easy Anti Cheat. This is where it gets stuck. It continuously keeps trying to install Easy Anti Cheat in an endless loop over and over until I force stop the game. I've tried all the installed Proton Versions, and none work.
This game basically works right out of the box with all effects on. I did no tinkering or modding at all.
No options used.
For some reason, the cursor drifts. I have to check with another controller.
If only more games would work right out of the box like this, there would be no reason for Windows at all. I did not use any kind of Proton or tinkering of any kind. It just works, almost perfect.
This game is nothing short of a nightmare.
Ever since I install Origin, it is just downhill from there. The biggest problem is that it does not play nice with my original Xbox 360 or Playstation 4 controllers. I've tried the key bindings, but that is just a nightmare. Can't anything from EA just work? I'm not forcing Proton. I tried forcing Proton Experimental and Proton 6.3-8 and the game took a crap. I had to reinstall because the game could not be found!!!
Game won't launch
I tried the latest experimental as well as Proton 6.3-8 and nothing. I tried following some of the guides but I cannot find those directories. Very strange.
Not sure if Origin is the problem or what
I have the game installed on another hard drive. Every time I press play, it goes into the reinstall procedure for Origin thin client. Finishes the process, nothing happens. The "launch" button is set at "X Stop" and the computer sounds like it's running something.
I did have issues at first. I tried GE, Experimental and regular Proton. It would log me out if I launched the game.
To fix this issue in Kubuntu, upgrade the ppa to latest without brackets:
[ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kisak/kisak-mesa ]
[ sudo apt update ]
[ sudo apt upgrade ]
Restart computer. Voila. The game runs awesome.
