Steps I did to get it working (Couldn't get Proton-ge 14/15 working):
- Set Proton to 5.0, run the game (it'll crash).
- Set Proton to Experimental
- run Protontricks --gui (choose Assetto Corsa) and install these windows components (not sure all are needed, but this works at least for me):
- d3dcompiler_47
- dotnet 4.5.2
- dxvk
- VCRun2015
Then, set winecfg to Windows 7
Launch game and it works. I could not get it to work following the guides that suggest installing dotnet 4.7.2 etc
For Content Manager (put in the path to your game folder): Do this (from other guides on the net): ln -s $HOME/.steam/root/config/loginusers.vdf /path/to/your/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/244210/pfx/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Steam/config/loginusers.vdf Add launch option: ~/Games/SteamLinux/steamapps/common/'Proton - Experimental'/proton waitforexitandrun /'path-to-game-library-location'/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/assettocorsa/'Content Manager Safe.exe'; echo %command%
Needs tinkering
Proton experimental, works out of the box. I've found sometimes the game doesn't actually launch, so I just 'Stop' it and run it again and it loads fine.
Works out of the box, Proton Experiemental, no particular issues observed yet (aside game is early access).
Under Proton Experimental it crashed at the EA Sports intro.
Works fine with my Fanatec CSL DD set to PC mode. Detected immediately with FFB effects working too (wheel lights don't work, as with other titles). Unexpected but very happy with that.
