Runs well on Linux. However, performance issues appear when near and facing stations or planetary surfaces.
When flying near stations or near planetary surfaces, frames will drop to around 20 or below.
Generally suitable for Linux gameplay.
The game runs just as well, or maybe better than on Windows.
Some minor textures are slightly lower resolution.
No problems getting this game to run.
Some of the UI textures---most notably the gem icon while mining--- are slightly low-res.
Probably one of my favorite games to play on Linux, especially with a PS4 controller.
It runs as a native port would.
The game does not recognize the proper resolution on the first launch; can be fixed by setting it to the right resolution in the settings.
It's no jankier then on Windows.
Does not work with GE, NorthstarProton, or Proton 6.3-8. Stuck on "launching" or "stop", trouble launching/installing EA App.
EA App installation script will hang unless "create Desktop Icon" unchecked in custom install, which is misaligned with button label. Afterward hangs during DirectX installation script. Game does not run under any circumstances.
