Probably a way to fix it using protontricks, can't be bothered figuring it out. I am not technical enough to understand what I am doing.
weird flashing of stretched meshes
Multiple issues, Sometimes it freezes but the game runs in the background (I can close the game using audio cues). Sometimes a black screen, Sometimes a unity error.
Clearly something is wrong with my system but I have no idea how to diagnose it. The unity error might be possible but the graphics issues are too difficult for me. The game hasn't run properly on my system forever, will probably switch to a different distro at some point, that may fix these issues.
Doesn't work for me out of the box. total newb so don't really know where to go from here. I get the feeling it is a graphics card issue
Mods appear to work, will update with any issues. Do remember to update your OS if you are having issues!
--use-d3d11
Borderless windowed is jank. Just use fullscreen, It's more stable.
I experienced constant OOM errors (My pc fully froze, with no ability to move to different terminal emulators). To fix this, In launch options use this: --use-d3d11
It took me a while to figure out that I needed to use DirectX11. Glad I found it though, thanks protondb community!!
I assume this is just an issue for me so I can't reccomend against playing the game as it runs just as well as on windows, if not better.
I had issues with movement where the character is permenantly sprinting, this does not occur on windows using the same pc (dual boot). There are no controls options available as of writing so I cannot do further testing. This prevents me from being able to crouch so I have to play on windows to play the game properly
Normally get 300fps on high settings on windows, ~45fps on high using GE-proton-8-11 I have lowered my graphics settings to fix this but I still loose frames occasionally. Still playable but less desirable. I play the game casually but I would consider sticking to windows to preserve performance if you care about it

When using building tools the mouse is not constrained correctly (wayland gnome and kde).
This has been fixed in the PTB (public test branch). the main branch seems to be fixed too, but I have installed mods through r2modman and this may have intefered with it...
Modding isn't neccesary but if you dislike grind, it's super simple. Here is the mod manager: https://github.com/ebkr/r2modmanPlus/releases
this works with naitively supported and games that can run on proton!
