set the proton version to 7.0-3 and off to the races you go .
played on Nvidia driver 515 with the launch options gamemoderun %command% -noprompt -anygpu and then it works

with DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 taskset -c 0-12 %command% added to the launch options and steam set to proton experimental it works perfect with my setup , could play the entire game from start to finish without any hickups

set the game up with 7.0.2 . added LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 force_compat_shaders=true %command% into the launch options and good to go . also went into the controller option and set it on Use Default settings and my PS3 controller works just fine .
a slight stutter sometimes when loading stuff , aside from that no issue
used it with Proton experimental and i did not have to do anything else . the only issue that does come up again every time is that you have to agree to the end user acces and licence agreement and rules of conduct, private policy & terms of use every time , after that it's smooth sailing .
