Great game! Voice chat was not good, but it could just be an early access issue. Switched to Discord and had no other problems as well.
Use Discord instead of native voice chat.
Use Discord for multiplayer voice chat.
Works great with no tinkering. No issues and it's a great game. Finished the whole thing with no problems.
XLCORE XLM
After the most recent uypdate, I have to use a third party launcher called XIVLauncher. It technically isn't supposed to be used, but it's the only way to launch it for me after the update.
Had to use a third party launcher called XIV Launcher
You may need to use an alternate launcher called XIV launcer to play since the latest update
Works great! Just make sure to go into the settings to change voice recognition off of windows. Everything worked great!
Works great out of the box with no problems.
If you are getting any lag on your first game and you are on Arch or an Arch based distro, make sure you're installing the correct version of Steam. The amd and the radeon versions can confuse some people. I had to help a friend with that and that was the issue. It will still work though.
Some crashes, especially if changing screen resolution
Have to switch to Proton version 8, and then it seems to run perfect.
I haven't played it too much yet. There were a few minor bugs, but I'm betting that's just because it's early access and they'll get fixed.
Some distros the Play options isn't available.
Open terminal and run this command to reach the regedit file:
WINEPREFIX=/home/$USER/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/22330/pfx/ wine regedit
Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Wow6432Node
Create a key there called:
Bethesda Softworks
From that create another key called:
Oblivion
Inside that key, create a string value name it:
Installed Path
Set the string value of it to the path to the games files with a Z: in front of it. Usually it will be this:
Z:/home/username/.local/share/Seam/steamapps/common/Oblivion/
Change username to your account name.
