Despite anticheat shortcomings, it functions out of box perfectly.
In-Engine checks
Running through Wine/Proton will flag your account. This has a few implications:
- You cannot host public coop games. Private games function normally.
- You cannot participate in race leaderboards, although you can still receive rewards.
- Your gamesave becomes tainted and any cross-platform play will also be flagged.

In order to get workshop working, you can subscribe to them like normal. Then, in the workshop content folder (appid 824270) you must move the individual scene files into the Kovaak's scenarios directory, located intuitively in the games install dir. If the downloaded content is properly moved to the scenarios folder but not present ingame, you must open the scenario file with a text editior and change its minimum version to be compatible. These scenarios might be incompatible entirely though, so if you crash or cannot load a scenario you know why.

If adequately setup, game runs indistinguishably from Windows. Lots of issues related to Origin that can be easily fixed.

cannot fullscreen at a resolution other than native, fixed by enabling virtual desktop at desired resolution using winecfg in its prefix
Huge amounts of input stuttering when adaptive resolution is enabled.
Fixed by setting 'Adaptive Resolution Target FPS' to zero.
Origin overlay causes frequent crashing when interacting with it.
Disable the overlay and use the origin application for game invites or messaging instead.
FairFight + in-engine detection
Avoid using Glorious Eggroll, it appears to be incompatible with the Origin overlay.
