Native version has audio issues (unity linux related), it selects the wrong audio device. Proton version is fine.
The audio issues as described here by other people, seem to stem from unity + linux native. The game runs perfectly fine through proton.
There is 1 (current) issue, there seems to be a memory leak when playing the game for long amount of time without restarting the client (it was at 16 GB after about 6 hours, while someone else had their system chug (32GB system) after about the same amount of time.
other then that (might be related to the latest update) the game runs fine. Its loads of fun, even more so with friends on a dedicated server.
Ran the game through Heroic (GOG version). build3-tdtd-06964af_tdtd-release_candidate-windows-release
TEXT_RES_DISCONNECT_REASON_047(47)
The game ran fine untill yesterday, some serverside maintance was done, and since then you can get up to the character select, and sometimes you can get all the way into the game, for everything to be frozen and you get kicked out a couple of seconds later. Either getting the: TEXT_RES_DISCONNECT_REASON_047(47) or some like world server disconnected error.
before that, the game ran fine with no issues (other then the cutscenes not working with proton GE 9-10, this was fixed by running GE 9-9) but since the maintance it seems no one with linux is getting in, looking at the discord thread.
The game would launch but the mouse only functioned for half the page. I had to get a controller to be able to use shoulder buttons to access the options > video settings to get it set to windowed mode
Full screen made only half the screen accesseble by mouse.
The game crashed when setting the anti alliasing (while in a multiplayer game) to FXAA.
After getting the game to windowed mode (had to use a controller to do so since the mouse was bound to the bottom half of my 1440P screen), and not messing with the settings for AA while in a game, the game ran fine.
