The native version crashes on launch, so switch to the Windows version with Proton. In the game "Properties" menu, go to Compatibility > "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" > and choose a version of Proton from the dropdown that appears.

Runs on Linux without issues. Game has its own stability issues though.

The game has some instability when certain actions are taken, causing Null Reference Exceptions or other errors to be thrown. I host a dedicated server locally, and spawning in deprecated vehicles can crash the server or removing some pipes can crash all of the clients. I don't think this is an issue with the Linux client or server, just a game stability issue in general.
