Works better than on Windows 10
Dual boot setup on this rig and the game performs infinitely better on Bazzite than on Windows 10. Also runs perfectly on Steam Deck out of the box.
Game launches but assets do not load - performance shody
Have tried proton hotfix and 9.0-4 as well as some launch commands seen on protondb with no luck. Game loads into main menu and is functioning but background is a white screen, intro movie does not play and skips straight into game. Performance in game is jittery while being ~100fps with DLSS ultra performance, epic preset.
Game runs perfectly out of the box - much easier than wine of the OG client
Steam install has made this old favorite of mine significantlly easier to play. Installing via Wine with the gwsetup.exe was clunky and did not work consistently in my experience. With Steam this was a one-click setup (aside from downloading .dat and importing build templates) for PC and Steam Deck.
