Errors with connecting to regions. Still playable.
I cannot connect to either the North America or Europe servers, only the Asia server works for me. Even when I tried switching back and forth, they would not load properly. I even tried switching to Proton Experimental which didn't change anything. Other than the region issues, the game is extremely light on any computer. Pretty smooth experience.
Smooth and amazing gaming experience
On launch, my mouse wasn't catching up with the tracking so it lagged behind by a small amount. Nothing major.
I was looking through reports earlier before installing Black Flag with people mentioning the Escape key not working when Alt-Tabbing. I did not run into this issue on my end, but I know this isn't the case for everyone. Also there is some lag when clicking through the settings, though the game play itself is nice and smooth, so I bumped down some graphic settings. Pretty good out-of-the-box experience for Linux!
Just don't mess with the full screen options and you'll be fine.
When I applied full screen in the settings, the game crashed. I have two monitors, so my solution when tabbing out of the game was press escape and click over to my other monitor.
There was a slight bug that showed up as a green flicker in the loading menu when you would start a new game mode.
Works beautifully on install
I had to turn down my resolution because the frame rate dropped for a short period, but afterwards it was way smoother than on my Windows machine.
