I have played in the past, 180 hours on my account, came back to play some more and it is now broken. I will not wate time tinkering with closed source junk, third party 'tools' and 'patches'. Sort your act out or take it off the store site
Switched from native to forced proton, controller doesn't work otherwise
Early access customer here, unhappy at having to use the Wine version because developers can't be bothered to fix broken Linux controller support. If you have controller problems (which you will under Linux) then you need to force Proton compatibility, windows controller mapping works fine.
Great fun, a few artefacts and an issue with new controllers, but otherwise highly recommended.
A newish Xbox One style joypad doesn't map correctly, and the camera (left stick presumably) spins constantly
If the game freezes at the loading spash screen then switch to an older version of Proton. I switched to 5.0-10 to fix this exact problem and it works now just fine.
Runs fine other than controller issues... totally Bethesda's fault
If you google 'xbox360 controller Oblivion' you'll see the issue. Fair warning. Otherwise the game runs fine
Auto-detected ultra settings were tweaked down a bit, some stuttering was caused by the recommended settings... Just turn them down a little
