Gets stuck installing Microsoft DirectX. When it does, let it go for a bit, use htop in the terminal, kill the directxsetup process, and it should then launch.

Screen tearing and stuttering
Launches perfectly with no tinkering; has screen tearing and stuttering that shouldn't occur given my hardware.
Works out of the box, no tinkering. Probably the best performance and experience I've had getting games running on Linux.
Game hangs on loading screen on PopOS

Tried all the variations of launch commands, on PopOS it seems the game will no longer run even with workarounds.

Bad controller support is pretty well-documented. Haven't tried to address.
Runs great, but shouldn't have screen tearing on a 3080, and controller not detected. There seem to be possible fixes out there for the controller issue.
Was getting ".exe not responding" message the second time I booted with Steam default. Switch to Proton Experimental fixed the issue.
