Game runs out of the box no tinkering needed for me. I was able to play a couple of matches without any issues.

I have a Logitech G923 (PS4/PC) which is currently unsuported by linux. If you have this wheel you should install this module from https://github.com/berarma/new-lg4ff, reboot and you should have support for the G923 after that is good to go.
I'm able to play this game perfectly, but as soon as I jumpped into a car with multile rearview mirror options the game ran at around 15FPS. I had this issue until I switch over the Proton GE version
Since the game comes with EAC you will get disconnected every 2 to 5 minutes

Some stutters from time to time, but not that frequent
Failed to load the anti-cheat module
For the game to launch (offline mode) you would have to disconnect from any network that you would be connected and launch the game.
I tried to run the game with the bleeding-edge
version of proton but Multiplayer/EAC didn't work for me
Great experience with the game so far
The only thing that I changed was the Proton Beta (Bleeding Edge)
Game starts, but as soon as you get into a race it crashes
For some reason New World, when loading into a city, takes all of my RAM + SWAP. When I notice this I tried increasing the SWAP partition which endedup fixing the crashes. The game has been stabled so far with comparable performance to the Windows version
I was able to play some PvP (3v3) matches and a couple of OPR and the game performed flawleslly.
I'm using the GE version of Proton, but the game worked out of the box for me the first time I installed, it wasn't until I teleported to Brimstorm Sands where I started tinkering until I noticed the memory issue and addressed it by increasing my swap partition.
