Yes! It's pretty enjoyable. Does not have any audio or graphical bugs/glitches. Multiplayer runs fine and performance is good.
It gives me like 20% less the performance than on Windows but still is pretty enjoyable. Hitting between 90 to 110FPS on 1440p all maxed out.
Game works pretty well. High settings and 55 to 60FPS, some occasional drops here and there but nothing significant.
Just some FPS drops here and there, nothing significant.
Game works with this version of proton and .conf file. https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom and adding dxvk.conf in $HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Assassin's Creed Rogue/ with option d3d11.maxFeatureLevel=10_1
Really slow when loading the first time you open the game but just wait and then it runs flawlessly.
Although it has some performance issues here and there, occasionally. It's a enjoyable experience.
It'd freeze upon changing fullscreen to windowed sometimes.
Sometimes I have to set the texture to half to make the 144fps mark. Sometimes it's smooth like on Windows and sometimes even if it says that it's at 144fps it does not feel that smooth.
Got some performance issues whenever the Rundow changes but within a couple of after updates it goes back to the same.
Less than ocassional crashes.
If you set the game to use half of the textures and cap it to 60 in the Steam commands, you'll get the most out of it.
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 gamemoderun %command%
Changing to fullscreen or window mode will crash the game, 9 out of 10, going Alt+Enter to get windowed or fullscreen will crash the game, and trying to Alt+Tab will sometimes crash the game.
If you cap the framerate to 60, the frametime does not spike but it feels not quite smooth sometimes, if you do not cap to 60, anything above 70FPS makes the game have it's ups and downs and it feels less smooth than running it at 60FPS, even if you can reach 100FPS.
If you set all graphic settings to max and you max out your VRAM, then the game will start degrade its FPS whenever you reload from checkpoints. If you set graphic settings texture to half and cap FPS to 60, it'll be good and smooth.
Game runs flawlessly out of the box. 60FPS @1080p with settings on High and SMAA x2.
Game works just fine OOTB, no bugs, glitches or black screens. Could join up with friends, play matches without any issues.
I had no problems at all. Could join friends, start a match and play 'till the end, and repeat. Did not experience any bug, glitch, crash or black screen.
Games runs decent. It goes from 40 to 60fps depending on scenarios on High @ 1080p. You need to skip the intro as said in this article https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Evil_Within_2 and you're good to go.
No glitches, no bugs, no crashes. It'd be platinum if the performance was smooth and consistent. It's totally playable though.
Game performance is on par with Windows but only DX version launches. Anticheat is loaing but play at your own risk.
First round was a little buggy. Input lag, buttons getting pressed without pressing them, it fixed up eventually and from there, no problem at all.
Since november 4 or 5 when Valve announced that BattlEye was supported on Proton and devs have to only contact BattlEye to enable anticheat, it's being working properly, with libraries loading if you install BattlEye Proton Runtime on Steam. No official word yet but seems something got enabled, play at your own risk!
This is the 3rd game on the Wolfenstein series that I finished on Linux through Proton. I'm happy! It runs out of the box, settings on high, 60FPS smooth @1080p. No issues whatsoever. Now to finish Youngblood.
Runs perfect out of the box. Highest settings. 60FPS all the time, no stutter at all. Finished from start to end.
Runs out of the box. Bethesda.net working. Buddy Pass working. All smooth on high settings, 60FPS @ 1080p. Really loving this Wolfenstein games. Already finished up the last 3 games on Linux, now going for this one.
