The native Linux version (the default) was not playable. Running in Proton works, but has some issues
Terrible flashing in the main menu
The game sometimes crashed, and the frequnecy increased further into the game. It was quite bad in xen, and I had to reload an earlier save to get past the final boss fight without crashing.
I could not get past the intro on the Linux native version - the game kept crashing at the first location change. Running via Proton worked, but it has major graphical glitches in the menu. Thankfully there are none in game, only in the main and pause menus.
It's playable, I've finished the entire game on Linux, but the stability issues are quite annoying.
Runs pretty well on my hardware - around 60 fps at 1440p on medium settings (no upscaling)
MANGOHUD=1 %command% --intro-skip -skipStartScreen --launcher-skip
Sometimes the saves reorder in the load list, and i have to go looking for the latest one by play time. Might be related to steam cloud sync. Not sure if it's a linux specific issue
Previously my system sometimes crashed when playing Cybepunk, but this seems to have been fixed with kernel updates.
Toggling mangohud on causes the game to stutter for some reason. Might be because of some wrong mangohud configuration, but it doesn't happen in other games.
The only issue that i have with the game is a skill issue
Works perfectly, though currently the multiplayer mode is disabled, so I can't speak for the multiplayer experience.
After some initial stuttering the game runs perfectly fine, except for the fact that you have to kill it to quit.
In the first areas of the game there's some stuttering while shaders compile. It went away completely after an hour or so.
Can't quit the game via the menu, you have to kill it in the system monitor.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% +com_showLoadingScreen 0 +r_skipDOF 1
Has stuttering by default, fixed with the launch options
Had to force disable Steam input for the controller to work
The game is very playable, even with major mods such as Space Exploration, with minor tweaking.
Remapped some buttons (mainly for picking up items)
5 watts TDP limit
Runs perfectly well even with a low TDP limit. You should use a community controls layout, especially if you want to play modded. The controls may take some time to get used to after playing with a mouse and keyboard, but after that they're fine.
The default UI scale (100%) looks good, but certain elements (specifically dialog windows from mods such as factory planner) don't fit on the screen. This can be fixed by setting the scale to 75%, though it may be a bit too small for some people.
Doesn't launch, plays the intro sound into a black screen
Tried Proton experimental and GE
Runs well with no tweaking
The game crashed a few times, not sure if it's a linux specific issue
Runs at stable 60+ FPS on high settings everywhere except Rattay, where it sometimes dips to 40-50. No issues otherwise.
Runs with no issues
If you want to use mods like bigger lobby, you need to add a dll override: https://docs.bepinex.dev/articles/advanced/proton_wine.html
No configuration is required if you're playing vanilla
