Actual input worked fine but on-screen button prompts occasionally reverted to M/KB, when I was using a xbox (gulikit) controller.
Fight in Chapter 5 consistently crashed game, can't complete game at this point.
If you're running AMD GPU, you'll likely have no issues. But I experienced a crash on a specific boss in the final chapter of the game, and a friend experienced the same crash on an earlier version if the same boss in Chapter 1. Both of us used nvidia gpu's and switching to steam deck allowed him to progress past the boss. I have yet to try this so can not, in good faith, advise you purchase this if you intend to play solely on linux and solely on PC on an Nvidia GPU. I had no crashes on the earlier version of the boss, so your results may vary.
Runs great out of the box. Very cute game. Love me some Boba....
Installs fine, but anticheat (presumably) thinks your cheating
Tried Experimental, 9, 8, and 7. Same message each time you connect to a server to load in. "You were kicked from the server (0x00020001) Reason: Cheating detected" Might be a "wait and see if they fix it" on this one.
Text is small and sometimes tricky to read, but not horribly so.
I capped the deck refresh rate to 40 but it was running a smoothe 50 for me with newest cryoutilities and default settings.
Doesn't run w/ nvidia
Does not run w/ an nvidia gpu, as far as I can tell. Tried every version of proton, GE proton, experimental, and hotfix as of the time of review. 90% of them boot, show the coil spinning indicatin the game is loading, and then crash. Tried an assortment of launch options, too. If you have an nvidia gpu and want to roll back your drivers you may have some luck but I haven't given that a shot yet, personally.
There's a few reports of "running natively in linux" but there IS NO native linux port so don't believe those. If you also have a steam duck, or have an AMD gpu, it seems to run fine on those. Enjoy. Actually runs decently well on Steam Deck, much to my shock.
Capped refresh and frames to 40
Feel like this used to run better a few months ago. Not sure if that's factual or just misremembering how it ran before.
Fairly solid 35fps, no need to dial in settings but you likely could. Has a "Steam Deck" graphical option. Works smoothe enough but, as I mentioned in a few other locations in this review, I do feel like it used to run a lot better? Bit of stuttering after taking a few months break
Runs great in Linux on whatever-proton
Occasionally it will continue registering a wasd button press when I quit pressing it. Not sure the cause, but clicking off and back into the game and pressing the button again will resolve the issue. Not a major issue.
Perfectly great experience at any level of gameplay. FSR sucks but I don't think that's a WF/Linux issue, AMD is just behind the curve. If playing on steamdeck, manually set Aspect Ratio to 16:10. Auto doesn't seem to work and everything will be stretched.
