It runs perfectly, with no tweaks needed at all
At least for me, on KDE, stay away from vsync if you switch windows frequently. It makes my whole graphical interface lag
I wouldn't really recommend loading a map, then loading another one. It seems like restarting the game before switching maps is the best thing you can do.
There's an experimental native Linux port, so, you may try that as well: https://www.beamng.com/game/news/announce/experimental-linux-support/
It works perfectly well, even with my pretty old hardware
For me, if you switch to Vulkan, everytime when you start the game, the main menu is very laggy until it loads. But, hey, with Vulkan the game runs way better in general! And, after the menu loads it's perfectly usable, you just have to have a bit more patience.
It runs with no problem
You can hear some crackling, but honestly it's not bad, and in some situations it adds to the creepiness of the game
Works like a native game, just like the previous DOOM did too.
The game would crash in fullscreen, but only while I was using the Cosmic DE from PopOS. Might apply to GNOME in general too. On KDE there were no problems
Sometimes it does crash, but not too often
The game has a hidden Linux port you can use
To use it, go into Preferences > General > Launch options and add either "./DDLC.sh # %command%", or anything else you might think of to still add the %command% part but never really execute it
Runs straight after installing it, no form of tweaking needed
On my old computer I used to have lower framerates than on Windows, but here the game runs really well, 150+ FPS, haven't tested on Windows with this one though, might be way faster, but I don't really care
My computer wasn't able to play this game on Windows. But on Lutris it's very playable, although I sacrificed a lot of graphics effects
I've used the default Wine Steam Lutris installer
Works great out of the box, no need to change anything
Sometimes alt-tabbing works well, sometimes coming back to the game makes it run on quite low framerates. Only solution is to restart the game
On my old laptop, I used to sometimes have problems with the Rockstar Games launcher after reinstalling the game. Either keeping the old Rockstar Launcher, installing it manually or taking it from any existing installation will work.
Works good enough
There are some slight slowdowns, but I never played this game on Windows so I don't know how well it runs there
Ran straight out of the box. Some crashes occured, but that happens on Windows with this game too, so it's the game, not Linux.
I switched to the Windows version through Proton because my controller was not getting detected on the native port.
