Went through character creation/tutorial with no issues. Multiplayer works fine too (tested with 5 players total).
First-time players will want to set texture resolution to 50-60 so reading emails on computer consoles will be legible. You could probably get away with lower values depending on your hardware/performance preferences.
Works just fine. Played through the tutorial/prologue mission with no major issues.
Works! It may as well have been designed to work natively on Linux.
Use Proton 8.0-5. Forcing DX11 is non-negotiable. DX12 hard freezes the game after the Helldiver arrival cutscene.

The 1px white border seems inevitable when playing in Borderless Windowed mode, no matter what version of Linux you're running. But by no means is it a distraction! You're gonna be too focused fighting Terminid scum and the Automaton menace to care.
After a mission, the framerate gets locked to around 30 frames. This was fixed as soon as another mission was selected and the ship started moving again.
If you're new to Linux gaming and came from Windows, remember that you need to form Linux habits instead of keeping your Windows habits. That means not having your web browser open at the same time you're playing a game (unless you know you have enough RAM/CPU to pull this off).
Works great with this specific version of Proton. Took me several attempts until I realized LAUNCH PARAMETERS ARE UNNECESSARY!
I downloaded the game onto an M.2 I installed recently to troubleshoot why the game kept hitching. Turns out, the performance issues I had before were fixed by using GE-Proton7-55 and leaving the launch parameters box empty. Game runs at a stable 55-60 FPS on high settings as we speak.
