The small issues mentioned aside, the game works smoothly.
Sometimes when starting the game it runs with low fps. The problems goes away when restarting the PC and opening the game right after.
Two crashes, both while exploring the map, during almost 30 hours of playtime.
Aside from not being able to play fullscreen, and only through a smaller window, I've also encountered a major bug which I couldn't solve.
As others have mentioned below, you have to create the player.ini file.
There are some issues with the mouth movement of characters.
Only windowed worked, I had to adjust scale and resolution to make the window a bit bigger.
There is a painting comparison puzzle, which I could not complete because the position of the marking circles is wrong due to the game being windowed.
For music to work I installed Timidity++ with the FluidR3 soundfront(instructions in 3rd comment : https://steamcommunity.com/app/410710/discussions/0/1742226629876612529/)
Now music works without problems.
