Paradox launcher starts but game hangs at starting screen forever. To be fair, I'm not sure if it's a compatibility issue or just a bug.
After the first patch the game does start and seems to run fine. No problems encountered in the first few hours of play.

You can get past the authenticating with steam message by using the startup option "-ignore-windows-system-certs". Still crashes when starting a game though.
I do these things so you guys don't have to... Uses easy anti-cheat. Won't even launch to the first screen.
Demo doesn't launch
Only tried the demo but it doesn't start. Initial splash screen appears but them it goes to a black screen and eventually the crash dialog appears.
Game launches to a black screen and never advances.
Trying to launch the launcher results in an error. By switching to GE-8.16 I'm able to get the launcher to start but the game still just gives a black screen. Game is steamdeck certified but I haven't been able to get it to launch on desktop.
So after trying everything else I could think of, I tried the thing I should have tried first and switched back to an older version of proton. 7.0-6 ran fine on PC.
Now seems to be working
Hadn't tried this one in a while. No idea when it started working but it seems to run quite well now.
Doesn't work since the 1.0 release.
Used to work so well that it was my go-to game for confirming that things still worked after I made system changes.
We need a mechanism for revoking a games gold rating if it stops working altogether like this one. Someone will see the gold rating on the steam web page and be fooled into thinking that it's still valid.
And we're back.
Had to start a new save as my old one was gone. Could be a side effect of version 1.0, a different version of proton or the fact that I've uninstalled and reinstalled since then.
Working again with the latest version of proton experimental. Had to enable the black-scree fix beta but worked fine after that.

Disabling anti-aliasing in the graphics configuration menu took care of the mouse lag and freezing in the menus. Ran great after that.
