Used latest version of Proton GE. Only problem is that the intro videos dont show up but you can skip them easily so it really isnt a problem.
Install Proton BattlEye Runtime, force the game to use Proton Experimental and use a third party launcher (Arma 3 Unix Launcher) to manage mods/dlc and play the game.
Get the launcher here (https://github.com/muttleyxd/arma3-unix-launcher) or just install from AUR.
Skirmish doesn't work.

Extras tab doesn't work (GUI error), main menu chat doesn't work (shows root folder).

Use latest Proton version, currently as of writing this 6.3-7 works
Main menu chat shows index of your systems root folder i.e main menu chat doesn't work. Also don't use Proton GE as it introduces bugs like skirmish crashing the game etc.
EAC doesn't work which means you can only play on community servers that have EAC disabled.
Devs are too lazy to add support for linux
Game runs great under Proton, no real performance problems i.e runs like it does on Windows.
EAC seems to work now despite NWI support saying they haven't looked into supporting EAC on linux. This is what they sent: "The team has heard about EAC enabling Wine/Proton compatibility, but for now, it hasn't been discussed. We're working on resolving some issues that came along with the release of Insurgency: Sandstorm on console for the time being."
EAC is fucked again. Good job NWI
