Proton 4.11 works way better than 5.0-9, perfect silky smooth 60 fps at max settings.

ocasional pc freeze when alt tabbing with proton 5.0-9
Can't alt tab, if you put the game in windowed mode and minimize it, it gets all black and you have to reopen.

lower framerate (~45-55), even on lowest settings the game couldn't reliably hit 60 fps which impacts online benchmark and performance
to my knowledge proton GE is a must. The game for some reason consumes a lot more ram on linux than on windows, with 8 GB is unplayable. I don't think it's worth it to play it on linux, if you have a gaming vm play it there, much better on windows.
Native works perfectly. Try turning your compositor off if experiencing any windowing issues, specially on xfce.

Couldn't get skse to work in my system so I was unable to play with mods, the game itself works great.
