Used protontricks to install teamspeak 3 inside the ARMA 3 through the "explorer" option, and running the teamspeak 3 install & client from there.
When changing the name of your profile in game, had to also change my profile settings in the launcher afterwards or it would launch and create a new profile with the name of my old one.
Works perfectly, supports battle eye protected servers using the proton runtime.
Hosting & joining LAN servers work perfectly as expected.
Works perfectly out of the box.
No tinkering at all, just installed and played.
No fuss, works fantastic.
The game didn't properly recognise my graphics hardware to automatically set the settings, however it's very easy to go into settings and adjust it, although presumably it is an issue with my hardware being much newer than what the game was originally designed for.
The linux native version of Payday 2 is significantly behind updates compared to the windows/proton version, similar to on console. You should play using Proton to get access to the latest content & multiplayer with Windows users.
%command% -force-vulkan
Paper/poster textures would often have Z-fighting in the game when moving the camera around.
The game seems to self destruct any time you screenshot using Steam's screenshot utility. It fixes itself with a restart or by returning to main menu.
It works okay out of the box with no tinkering, but the launch option I used to force vulkan seems to get rid of the Z fighting issue some textures have. I couldn't find a fix for the screenshotting issue, I just used Gnome's screenshot utility instead of Steam's.
