Works better than on Windows for me, but the bugs from it are still present
Still has the sequence 7, memory 3 crash with more than one CPU core. (Just disable this before you load back in, and enable it once the memory finishes. The game has weird graphical glitches when I played it on Windows, but everything looks normal on Linux ¯\(ツ)/¯

VSync=1 → VSync=0
Makes the game WAY smoother - required for 60+hz monitors and recommended for a better experience.

Steam Cloud MUST be on, or your game will crash. A lot. It's like that for Windows, too.
For 60+fps:
#steam#/steamapps/compatdata/35140/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Square Enix/Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY/BmGame/Config/BmEngine.ini
bSmoothFrameRate=FALSE MinSmoothedFrameRate=10.000000 MaxSmoothedFrameRate=500.000000
Edit these lines to whatever you want. Default max is 62. Game runs much faster with this on.
Runs at max@160fps
Seems to crash every few hours. Have not diagnosed, as the game starts again quickly enough to not bother me. Happens more often after leaving the game running AFK.
Very seamless controller support and smooth gameplay overall.
Turning off V-sync won't work, you have to edit

I used these settings:
bSmoothFrameRate=FALSE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=60
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=300
Tiny loading stutters during startup cinematic and cutscenes - nothing in gameplay

Tried using libstrangle to cap the fps under 800, which caused coil whine. Use 30hz Vsync @144hz to cap at 72fps.
Windowing is a possible issue, probably because I'm on GNOME. If not, the game just works.

Alt-Tabbing breaks everything. Was able to fix it by using XORG and using Alt+F2, followed by "r", when it happened. Afterward it worked fine.
Fixed by unticking Enable Steam Input for Xbox controllers
Used some fixes from PCGW

ENB (LinuxVersion) worked wonderfully. Parallax texture mods slower than expected. Win10 likely better for parallax. At time of writing, 517 mods enabled work well, with no unexpected crashes. 14GB RAM usage. Mod Organizer 2 recommended (https://github.com/rockerbacon/modorganizer2-linux-installer).
Used https://github.com/rockerbacon/modorganizer2-linux-installer for modding. Installed .NET 8.0 & 9.0 SDKs, as well as Visual C redists to Proton prefix by replacing ModOrganizer.exe with relevant Windows .exes. Several modding tools (Synthesis Patcher, Pandora Engine) refused to work under Proton 9.0-4. Switching to Glorious Eggroll fixed everything. Mod Organizer 2 doesn't like downloading from Nexus under this setup. Just use manual installation instead.
