Froze and crashed after minimizing.
Often froze and crashed either when launching the battle or after minimizing.
See notes on performance issues, keyboard input results into performance issues.
Related to input devices, specifically keyaboards. The game has microstutters on key press, while mice and gamepads are OK. Single key stroke stutter is not noticeable, however, if you hold a key (any key on the keyboard, even an unbound one) the frame times will start to fluctuate wildly and produce a very choppy and unpleasant image while the FPS stays high. The stutter stops either if you release the key you are holding or if you tap and release a second key. If you hold the second key, the stutter remains until you release the second key or tap and release a third one, and so on. The behavior is triggered either at the game start or 1-20 minutes into the game. The workaround is to disable the key repeat functionality in system settings, after that the game no longer stutters when you hold a key and single press stutters are barely noticeable.
I'm on KDE Plasma 5, X11 session.
Judging by the ancient bugreports on Windows the game had the same issue there on release, though it appears to be fixed now. I suspect there is some conflict between how the game processes keyboard input and how Linux passes the input to the game.
Starts crackling sometimes, seems to have stopped after I selected my audio device in settings instead of Pulse Audio
Some issues with DLSS rendering it seems, weird texture and models pop-in. Transparent UI elements like HUD sometimes glitch out.
Same settings on Windows give ~15FPS more and feel more smooth.
The game needs some patching but it seems to me that Linux experience is indeed worse than on Windows, albeit not by much. Still enough to make me boot into Windows each time I wanna play it - it just feels smoother and somehow even looks a bit better, all with the same settings. Maybe Nvidia stuff?

HUD elements sometimes start ghosting when moving the camera, but only when you have DLSS framegen enabled. And you want it enabled to play this game.
Performance is noticeably worse on Kubuntu 24.04 compared to Windows 11 on the same machine with same settings. Around 20-30% less FPS overall and it just feels more choppy, less responsive and smooth.
So far I've tried almost every launch argument posted here since launch, tried other linux distros, X11 vs Wayland, different Proton versions and Nvidia drivers - no change. I suppose the performance penalty is due to DX12 issues on Nvidia GPUs and vkd3d. The issue is not with FPS themselves, they are still plentiful on my setup even with the penalty, but it seems like frametimes and consistency of them is really poor and can be seen in mangohud. Launching this game in Windows after spending a few hours in Linux feels like you've done a significant upgrade to your setup. Still playable though but it's a huge bummer.
The loading time issue is weird, wonder why nobody else reported it. Issues on my end maybe?
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libfreetype.so.6 gamemoderun %command%
General wierdness, alt+tab may freeze the game.
Insane loading times, for multiplayer it seems like it straight up hangs.
Stuck at "Loading, please wait..." for around 10 minutes
Tried Experimental, GE and Proton 8 - none seemed to work. Native version is lame by itself. There might be some other issues I did not notice yet because I can't play it normally thanks to the loading time.
