Works great
Disclaimer: This is a report for a demo!
Tested native and Proton versions (Default, experimental & GE)
Worked great in native and with Proton enabled.
Switched Proton version
Had to change control layout for comfortable play
Works OOTB on latest Proton & Experimental
Works out of the box
Tested with default, experimental and latest GE (7.1-GE-2).
Didn't have or find any issues playing this game on any of the Proton versions.
Switched Proton versions
Tested with default, experimental & GE Proton versions
Works great, without any major issues.
Works without issues
Works great without any issues. Tested with default, experimental and GE Proton version
Had to use this command before playing:
protontricks 2051430 vcrun2019
Performance stuttering (due to shader caching, resolved itself eventually)
Operating System:
Arch Linux
Proton Versions:
Default, Experimental, GE (GE-Proton7-20)
Works well, when everything is installed.
I had to install protontricks
and install Visual C++ that way (command used is written above). At first launch you'll run into some stuttering. This is probably because of shader caching, it resolved itself eventually. I noticed that game run slightly better at Experimental & GE versions of Proton.
Great experience OOTB
Tested versions: Native, 8.0-2, Experimental
Native version & Proton versions works OOTB without any major issues.
Switched Proton versions, tested with mangohud
Significant FPS drops (from 150 to 54)
Tested with default, experimental & GE Proton versions.
Worked without any major game breaking\crashing issues, but FPS did drop fairly regularly. This might be due to shader caching, but not sure.
When running with mangohud, game did crash when running ingame introduction to new enemy type. This happened only on default & experimental. GE worked with mangohud without any issue.
Switched Proton versions (7.0-6, Experimental, GE)
When intro movies switch to main menu or when pressing ESC/TAB (going to pause menu) key, game switches to windowed mode and pops an error about my monitor not supporting currently set resolution.
Game Type (Version): Demo (0.1.0.12) Proton: 7.0-6, Experimental & GE
Game works well in general with chosen Proton versions, but there seems to be some issue with fullscreen mode. This issue might be with the game's options setting system, I've ran other UE4 games with different versions of Proton and didn't encounter this issue.
Works flawlessly
Works without any issue. Tested with default, experimental and GE Proton versions.
Works natively, but not out of the box
OS System:
Arch Linux
Tested versions:
Native, Proton (7.0-1, Experimental), GE Proton (GE-Proton7-9)
Native version:
I had to install 2 packages before playing (rtmpdump
and libxcrypt-compat
).
After that, worked without any issues.
Proton versions:
Works out of the box, I've noticed some very subtle UI performance stutter.
Works out of the box
Works great, without any issues. Tested with default, experimental and GE Proton versions
Switched Proton versions
Tested Proton versions: Default, 8.0-2, Experimental
Works great OOTB
Works without any issue, but there was a catch
For some reason when on default Proton version it shows "Missing Executable" error window. When switched to experimental and GE worked fine.
Switched Proton versions
Tested Proton versions: 8.0-3, Experimental, GE-Proton8-13
Works great without any major issues on official versions of Proton. When using GE Proton, I've noticed major FPS stutter.
Works out of the box
Works perfectly out of the box on every Proton version tested (Default, Experimental & GE)
Switched Proton versions
Tested Proton versions: 8.0-3, Experimental, GE-Proton8-9
Works great on all tested Proton versions. Recommend switching to Vulkan (thru Video settings) for best performance.
Some sounds are unaffected by audio setting and plays in full volume
Tested Proton Versions:
Default, Experimental, GE (GE-Proton7-15)
In general, worked flawlessly.
Videos didn't work with official Proton versions.
If you want to disable in-game videos you can add this command to your launch options:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winegstreamer="
GE Proton version should fix this, but it didn't for me. This might be due to me missing a codec.
Also noticed that some sounds were playing at full volume even when master volume was set to lower volume.
