I switched to GE-Proton in hope of some performance improvement, with the default Proton I had about 50 to 65 fps using high settings. GE-Proton improves this by roughly 10 fps. I have vsync enabled to utilize FreeSync on my monitors.
Works flawlessly. I haven't noticed any problems running this
Playing the game using a PS4 controller also works flawlessly.

Sometimes I was randomly disconnected and the game continued in offline mode. That never happened during actual online multiplayer though.
Works flawless.
It sometimes feels like having a slight input lag when using a PS4 controller, I doubt I can prove this though.

At first I tried using Proton-GE. I tried GE-Proton7-16, Proton-6.19-GE-2 and Proton-6.15-GE-2 all of them had very distorted Graphics in the "eyeball" scene (white, green and purple lines all accross the screen). But with Proton 6.3-8 those problems dissappeared and I was able to finish the game.
