I've spent over 160 hours running under proton, works great apart from this proton 5 issue, which is easily worked around..
Launch Flags:Use Wine D3D
Windowing:Other
Screen seems not to refresh in fullscreen without PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1. Used to work perfectly with proton 4.11.

To get FFB working with G29 I installed these drivers: https://github.com/berarma/new-lg4ff With some games G27 emulation mode is enough but I didn't try that.

Looks like fun but I can't enjoy a driving game without the wheel working

G29 seems top be detected in settings but doesn't work at all in the game, pedals, wheel and shifter do nothing.

It just worked, runs great, G29 and FF work, haven't tried to play online but spectating works. It's a lot of fun.
