When you install it throws up a window where you have to log in to Origin. This worked ok for me. Play was flawless.
Had to set mouse sensitivity down to lowest setting.
Plays very well with very good graphics. No problems so far. This should be Platinum as I can see no problems at all. ;-)

I have the "proton-ge-custom(Unsuported AUR[native])" package installed and this is the one used for this game.
Starts with black screen.Wait a minute or so then press a key and game runs fine.

Played a little in the original which plays well but could not use widescreen so instaled the Redux mod, Game plays very well with no gremlins so far. Up to the ENPRO PLANT.
Played over 66 hours. Downloaded and installed ok with no extra steps and runs very well.
You get a black screen on start up, click on your space bar and the game continues.

Make sure there is no " player.ini " file at /SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Syberia
There is no option to use full screen. Using the launch options the game opens up in what looks like 1920x1200 size, So it does not fill the 27" screen but it is much better than the small 800x600 size.
Every now and again the screen blanks out and goes black. Sometimes you still get Kate showing up in a black screen. If you keep walking towards an exit point when the screen refreshes to the new page all is back to normal. If that makes sense.
An excellent game and so far it is running briliantly.
