limited TDP to 6, might be able to go further
I used scaling (fit) in the performance tab in the deck's settings
default controller layout was freezig during character creation, switching to "mouse only" layout fixed the issue
Softlocked at Chaos in General using Proton Experimental, fixed using vanilla proton 8.0-4
Very laggy
A book used during "Needle in a Haystack" is hard to read
Fixed by exiting the game and booting it up again or taking out headphones and plugging them in again. Seems to only happen while resuming from sleep. Unsure if this happens with speakers.
PhysX installer either involves using touchscreen or switching to desktop to use mouse emulation
Game lags horribly on the second mission; to fix this, disable PhysX

Use Luxtorpeda as a Steam Play compatability tool to launch OpenMW through Steam. You can install Luxtorpeda through protonup-qt.

changed launcher-configuration.json to use DirectX 11 and set ui.VerticalFrameScale in user.settings to 1.1253
limited TDP to 10
change font and dialogue scale to 10 in settings to fix
occansional freezing and crashes in DirectX 12 - switching to DirectX 11 fixed this issue
tweaked graphical settings to ones recommended by HerrTiSo on this thread
