some mods have invisible avatars, though that might be a mod issue
Fullscreen crashes the PC
FPS notably lower than Windows 11, but it is still over 90fps and since I use a quest 1, I am ok
Dear Nvidia users, I think I found a fix. The reason Bonelab works and Boneworks doesn't, is because bonelab uses openxr, not openvr. Most unity games have this issue. To fix this, downgrade your drivers. 470 works for me, so I resort to switching every time before launching it. I heard monado also works. I will give it a go and give an update.
So back with the promised update. Apparently, it wasn't my usage of older drivers. The thing that fixed the issue was ALXR.
probably not because of bonelab but because of ALXR, but idk really
~10% lower fps than in windows
I couldn't get Monado to work (probably because I have a quest 1) but ALXR does the job for me. Monado is also an openxr runtime, so I guess one can try that.
Runs out of the box with proton for me.
Maybe it is a issue with headset, but I had to stream it to my airpods.
I have an 3060 ti, Windows gave me more fps. Was still playable though, cant complain.
When starting a level, it freezes for 2 or so seconds.
My hand got stuck in the final ladder, but probably a general bug.
strangle 60 %command%
Cloud save is not working for me.
If it goes over 60-70 fps, it starts stuttering and heating my pc like crazy. Hence the strangle launch options. Here is the github repo for the fps limitter: https://github.com/milaq/libstrangle After setting up libstrange and limitting to 60 fps, it ran fine on the highest settings.
Just go to settings and disable fullscreen and maximize the screen. Not the best, but sure works.
The game needs dotnet40 to run. Using protontricks doesn't work, as it fails to install. So what I did, was I created a custom 32 bit prefix using Lutris and installed a windows version of steam on it. The I installed the game there and when I clicked play, it installed everything it needed, just like regular steam on windows. 64 bit prefix didn't work for some reason.
