Some textures are white and shiny, very distorted, or completely missing. But this is quite rare.
I use DWM so I could not change tabs in fullscreen mode and had to use windowed fullscreen.
Game gets stuck in loading, could just be Arma though. I could not load saves in multiplayer.
Use https://github.com/muttleyxd/arma3-unix-launcher and enable: "Proton: Disable Esync" and it fixes the crashing issues.
Won't get past start menu.
I tried 6.14-GE-2, 6.11-GE-1, and Experimental. None worked
I had to use "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES=”xaudio2_7=n,b” PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%" but I would ommit "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1" and if it doesn't work then add it.

Water and reflections are blurry.
Works flawlessly with Proton Expirimental

Very big FPS drops, But still very playable on Linux.
I had FPS drops of down to 30 FPS but other than that the game runs at around 144-170 FPS.
Works perfectly anti-cheat tweaks, better than Windows for me usually with.
Full screen would not change resolution, but borderless worked perfectly.
~/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/393380/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Temp or where ever Squads Wine prefix is to read only (chmod 500 Temp)
