Game was launching with just quarter of the screen visible, had to run regedit through protontricks, and set the resolution value. Other than that framerate tends to drop in the school building and city areas for a few seconds. Except for the aforementioned issues the game seems to be working just fine, without any gamebreaking bugs.
With my specs and drivers the game just works. Performance is adequate - 60 fps all the way.
Run the game once after installation, it will fail. Following that dotnet40 and win7 in such order have to be executed in protontricks. If the launcher fails to show up anyway, delete the 359320 folder found in compdata, run the game again through Steam, let it crash, and reapply the fixes via protontricks(or winetricks).
Changing resolution in fullscreen mode results in the game hanging. Have to kill it and relaunch. However, switching display mode to windowed and then tinkering with resolution works perfectly, so one can change the resolution in windowed mode and then switch back to fullscreen.
For some reason my game is laggy, much more laggy than on Windows, I estimate the framerate is halved in some cases.
For me the game is playable but not very comfortably. Stutters and slowdowns are very present. Others don't report that so it has to be my machine's/drivers fault.
Played for over 2 hours in one go. Everything works, including watching space battles. I can safely Alt-Tab in and out of the game too. Not changed any settings within the game. Just download and play.
After the game introduced Vulkan I can launch it, but upon loading a saved game or starting a new one the game crashes every time.
When playing the game in Exclusive Fullscreen I experienced a complete system freeze, setting the game on Windowed Fullscreen, and enabling VSync fixed it.
Other than the Fullsreen problem which happns is several games for me, Sniper Elite 4 works out of the box, on all Ultra settings without any slowdowns.
Performance is just slightly worse than Windows, I'm registering below 10 fps drop overall. Doesn't impact the gameplay though. Everything works as intended, all PvE and PvP. Also as others stated: close the launcher as soon as the game launches. Otherwise it will become unplayable within 5 minutes.
Used github.com/z0z0z/mf-install, as stated in other report. After that the game worked past intro videos but crashed regularily after 20-30 minutes of play. After disabling both esync and Steam Overlay, I was able to play for two hours straight without a crash. Everything works perfectly, game running in windowed fullscreen.
Tried literally every single proton command with it, etc... The game "launches," Steam registers it as running, but game window never shows up. Proton logs spits out some gibberish I don't understand and can't find any help on.
