Crackling can happen on the intro screen if using pipewire, this is a documented issue with pipewire, and it seemed to work fine using pulseaudio before i switched
Worked fine on both GE-Proton8-25 aswell as Proton8.0-4, i recently upgraded my gpu from a GTX 1060 6gb and it worked perfectly fine on that aswell, Launch option WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" is only neccesary if you use BBCFIM (Blazblue Centralfiction Improvement Mod)
The Game Runs perfectly, outside of some extremely niche things that most players wont ever touch, i have 0 issues

on Hyprland, if the game is set to fullscreen mode and you move your cursor off the window, theres a chance the game will shrink to an extremely tiny space in the top left of the window, and prevent you from giving input to the game, this is most likely a Hyprland specific issue, and its fixed by switching to borderless window
everything online works perfectly, using the improvement mod requires you to either load it through asi loader, or set the launch options WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%, obviously adding in extra things such as gamemoderun or protonhax if needd
some features with cheat engine dont work properly, e.g. auto assemble scripts, most cheat tables, etc., though this is only an issue with mods, and even then, extremely niche mods, so it wont ever be a problem for the average user.
Proton 9.0 + seemed to be unstable when i used it, though i havent checked recently, if you experience any issues i highly recommend to switch to an 8-* version of GE-Proton

game seems to open in some sort of phantom window (term i just made up) on my right monitor on Hyprland, this can be temporarily fixed simply by dragging it (Meta/Super + LMB by default) anywhere else, or enabling tiling (Meta/Super + F by default), to permanently fix it simply change the game settings to launch in windowed mode, depending on your desktop environment there may be options to change it to be full screen after it starts up if really need full screen

Hosting online lobbies will sometimes disconnect everyone connected seemingly at random

prerendered videos appear to be broken on nvidia gpus, my 1060 6gb would simply show the color bars test screen (no idea what its actually called), however after switching to an amd gpu this issue appears to be gone (though i cannot narrow it down to the gpu being the fix)
gamemoderun %command%
On my old GPU (GTX 1060 6gb) the game would frequently freeze when lots of particles (gunshots, smoke, etc.) were on screen unless i used the lowest graphics settings, this did not occur on windows
Occasionally you will be disconnected from servers with the message "The server was forced to close the connection", it is possible this is an issue with the game itself however i did not have such issues on windows, this only happens once to twice per 6 hour session and you can just immediately reconnect.
