As others have mentioned, the Linux version of this game have severe graphical artifacts. There is also an issue with frame timing as there are consistent stutters despite a high framerate. When forcing Steam to use the Windows version of the game and Proton Experimental, I observed no issues in performance or gameplay. This is the best way to experience this title on Linux.
Game runs as well as it would on Windows. Tried several modded maps from the Steam Workshop and had no hiccups. Plays great out of the box.
Played through roughly 30 hours of this game, hosting a multiplayer game for the entire duration. Windows user was able to connect and play without any issues. We were able to complete the entire main questline without any random disconnects or crashes. Runs perfect on Fedora with Proton Experimental out of the box.
