occasionally got stuck / froze on repeated sound
mostly in foggy areas or when lighting is changing
runs mostly okay. seems to default to ultra, hangs out around 45fps with dips depending on environment (seems to particularly struggle with fog). controller supported but it seems like default prompting is m+kb. occasional freezing / stutter. had TDP on 11 to keep the fans a little quieter
had to connect a keyboard to press enter on player name screen. able to open onscreen keyboard and type but not able to proceed without external keyboard
worked out of box, defaulted to ultra 1080p and ran at 60fps with a few drops on flashy moves (seemed to happen on windows box as well)
triggers and touchpad click don't seem to work regardless of assignment/binding??
locks up after opening cutscenes
icons for controllers don't display correctly and for some reason, triggers and touchpad click don't seem to be mappable. if you can watch/skip the initial cutscene on a windows PC and another slightly on later for the title roll (seems to be an issue with animated cutscenes in general--probably there will be others further in the game), typical gameplay is otherwise without issue. definitely hold off if playing exclusively on deck/linux
Launched and ran without tinkering needed, picked up Origin save automatically, but no gamepad support without custom proton.
Needed custom Proton
DAI-Proton-1.0.4 seems to be working again. Installed and launched without issue, picked up cloud save from original playthrough on Origin, unable to detect controller even after enabling gamepad in settings (as expected from previous reports about how Xinput is handled.) Unpacked DAI-Proton-1.0.4 to needed folder, selected in compatibility options, relaunched and confirmed ability to use gamepad based config. Played for an hour or so on default settings at mostly 60fps in hub area.
worked fine out of box, no problem with TDP limit and GPU clock dialed all the way down
worked out of box, runs at 60fps (and basically silent!) on default settings, fan kicks in on high (occasional framerate dips)
resolution looked okay on loading screens but menu had magnifier style effect where only one portion of the normal menu screen was filling the entire display. was able to manipulate cursor through menu off-screen (resolution should be easy to find at bottom) and change resolution

Copied Easy Anti Cheat file from Apex Legends install
used launch option from other reports and EAC file from Apex. deleted file for intro videos, not sure if it actually starts all that much faster without them. runs great on medium
works out of box, devs seem to have configured deck specific control layout that plays nicely
seemed like minor stuttering on kills in the training area but thankfully doesn't seem to be present (or at least anywhere near as noticeable) in real matches
worked out of box, easily held 60fps in first mission, dipped toward 40-50fps in 2nd area

crashed every time in game mode after attempting to set resolution to 1280x800
crashed when attempting to change resolution from default 1080 in game mode, continued to crash on launch in game mode until after changing to windowed and back to borderless from desktop mode. no issues hitting 60fps+ for the most part, framerate drops when speeding up during combat scenes
