Doesnt even load really, sometimes closes the second i click play. Ea is shit, fuck ea.
Generally playable, there is a difference compared to windows, no matter if settings are maxxed, but you can get used to it. Still very good
My microphone doesnt work, at all! Probably because of some pipewire/pulseaudio confusion or so. Gmod, steam etc. recognize my mic and it works ingame just not for CSGO. They should add more settings ingame so that i can choose it there.
Sometimes, not laggy, but kindoff a SLIGHT pixelated chopping when looking/ turning to another direction. Tho this is not very often, still very playable.
I use dwm window manager, i suppose it because of this, in CSGO i have in the top and in the left a border that dwm puts on every window. Only csgo shows it still.
as mentioned earlier, slight lags, a bit of slight chopping when moving SOMETIMES.
pretty much perfect, except the mic problem.
Thankgod the game is old, not the newer full of crap games. Works perfectly, though sometimes depending on system, needs tinkering.
On some games you should FORCE proton do be used in the game by right clicking it in the library, going to properties, then compatability and then force the version you want. Then it fixed everything for me. Also had problems with sound because of that, and joining servers. Remember if a game doesnt work to force proton.
The fix is to put gmod in borderless window mode (or window if u prefer)
Couldnt join server, not sure where the problem lies but forcing proton fixed it.
if it starts at all, it only has a blackscreen and thats it.
sad. i want devs to care more about Linux users! especially because of the steamdeck now, atleast its going forward.
When I start it, the logo opens, then a unity logo with a red exclamation mark. Crashes/closes then.
Definetly worth it. Try it out, doesnt require much tinkering.
Worked really well, except for tabbing out its great! didnt work with my Artix install, but does with my Gentoo install :))
COPY PASTING WHAT JETBLADE221 WROTE THIS HERO THANKS TO U I CAN PLAY SQUAD :D
This only applies to Gentoo users.
glibc 2.36 removes a symbol used in EasyAntiCheat, documented here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6051. On Gentoo, this can be fixed by enabling USE=hash-sysv-compat for sys-libs/glibc. This USE flag was made specifically to fix this issue. If you do not set this USE flag, you will get a message saying "Failed to load the anti-cheat module".
To fix, write this file to /etc/portage/package.use/glibc
sys-libs/glibc hash-sysv-compat
