My PS5 controller is not being detected by the game. Turning on/off Steam input does not fix the issue.
After seeing people mention that changing desktop setting for controller to gamepad works in the game, I managed to get my PS5 controller to work. The game runs similar to Windows, albeit there are some frame drops when the game is loading data, which wears off the more you play.
Steam overlay is the only feature that doesn't work at the moment.
EAC ruins the playability. However, performance seems to be better in Linux via Proton than running on Windows.
Take off your game pad before playing if you're using mouse & keyboard, otherwise the camera movement becomes bound to the controller, which doesn't have the same free-aim system like when you use mouse & keyboard
EAC still works. Got kicked out upon joining a server once, but restarting the game fixed it
Got through low rank quests and did not see any frame drops or any bugs; the game seems to work perfectly.

runs well on max settings with a slightly degraded framerate. game loads faster in linux than in windows 10 though, so that's a plus
10-15% difference in framerate compared to running on Windows 10
Native Linux version has issues with textures and resolution, using latest Proton is much better to play
some issues with proton, native seems to be better
proton version doesn't function properly with borderless fullscreen
load times are significantly longer via proton compared to native
