0 issues, worked right away with proton experimental (default option that steam chose)
Works better than the Windows version
No issues at all, been hosting server for friends for weeks without issue. Linux version has a feature called non-blocking save where it will be able to auto save without any interuptions whatsoever, our game saves every 5 minutes and unless you see the green progress bar in the top left corner you wouldnt even realize. 11/10
You will need only use 1 monitor (might just be nvidia issue) if you are ok with that, the game runs amazingly. must run with 8.0-5
Major stuttering/ lagginess at first. I have 2 monitors, disabling the 2nd monitor fixed the issue completly, game now runs fine and at 240fps.
works on proton 8.0-5 with only 1monitor enabled
Works out of the box. Played multiple rounds with friends, no problems.
Game runs but with issues. Stuttering is really bad at launch but gets better with time.
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=1 VKD3D_DISABLE_EXTENSIONS=VK_NV_low_latency2 %command%
Lip-sync is off
Occasional vertex explosions worse on other versins of proton, not too bad on GE
Big stutter issues when first launching game, does go away after a while
Game is totally playable but has quite a few issues. The biggest issue is with stuttering. The first time the game launches I did not experince these, there is a long wait for shaders to compile and the game seems to sort its issues out during that period, however it will not do the shader compile on later launches, game will start as a stuttery mess, but WILL improve and be fully playable after this, but it will take a while. My suggestion: load into the game and spin your camera aroudn in a circle until it stops, walk around a bit in the camp, maybe even take a moment to get up and grab a snack just to let the game sort itself out. Other issues: Audio and lip sync are a bit off, nothing that makes it unplayable but it looks a little clunky. I have also ran into some issues with Vertex explosion but that seems pretty rare at this point (for me). Game overall does not perform as well as it should given the graphical fidelity, needs major optimization by the devs (not just for linux).
TLDR: In my case the game is playable but with a big asterisk. Current state is not acceptable in my opinion but is technically "playable"
Works very well, but did have issues with certain driver versions
Driver version can cause issues
Game seems to work without any real hassle. I did experince one major issue: a previous version of nvidias drivers cuased space travel to instantly tank to 15 fps and stutter like crazy. I resolved this at the time by reverting to an older graphics driver and waiting for a new itteration which upon testing was free of this error.
TLDR: if you have any issues with stutter it may be driver related, try a different version and see if it helps.
Black window would "launch" but immedietly crash. tried a few different versions of proton with no luck
Did not work, but i only tried a few versions of proton. maybe some additional tinkering is needed but, does not work out of box.
Played game for hours with friend, no performance issues.
Native version works flawlessly
Been playing for hours on many servers, installed custom huds, ran local games etc no issues at all.
